With a staff of trained counselors right in here in Slippery Rock, the support you need is closer than you think.
Our counselors have extensive experience working with a litany of presenting issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, sexual identity, addictive behaviors, suicidal thoughts, and interpersonal problems. Couples counseling is also available. Fees are determined based on an affordable sliding scale, and scholarships are available for those who qualify. We are happy to work with people of all backgrounds.

Steve Friebe
Steven is from the Minneapolis area, and received his Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Bethel University in 2016. He has extensive experience with young adults, having worked previously with students at Bethel, North Central University, and Grove City College.
He utilizes cognitive-behavioral techniques from CBT and REBT traditions to identify and replace harmful patterns of thinking that cause distress and dysfunction. His scope of practice covers a wide variety of issues including depressed mood, excessive worry, obsessive thoughts, addictive behaviors, relational problems, and social anxiety.
